The European Union, the European Investment Bank and the Centre for the Development of Enterprise in partnership with the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The European Union, the European Investment Bank and the Centre for the Development of Enterprise in partnership with the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised its first Awareness Workshop on European Union funding assistances available to the private sector in Vanuatu in the VNPF Conference Room yesterday afternoon.

The delegation to the country is made up of the EU Ambassador based in Papua New Guinea, Martin Dihm, Head of Pacific Regional Office of European Investment Bank Jean-Philippe De Jong and Head of Pacific Regional office – CDE based in Suva, Jean-Pierre Mathey.

Following welcome remarks from the General Manager of the Vanuatu chamber of Commerce, Louis Kalnpel, presentations to a sizable number of local investors were made first by EU Ambassador Dihm, followed by the Head of Pacific Regional Office – European Investment Bank on funding assistance available to the Private Sector through the European Commission De Jong and the Head of Pacific Regional office – CDE based in Suva, Fiji, Mathey.

Investors were allowed one hour to ask questions on how to be able to meet the criteria to have access to EU funding assistance.
